Hen and stag parties

The hen party disposable camera, without the cardboard

The disposable camera is a hen party classic: it gets passed around, everyone laughs at what the photos might look like, and you see them weeks later. The trouble is everything else: film to get developed, shots that run out by Saturday lunchtime, and the camera left behind in a taxi or at the bottom of a beach bag.

Time to Flash keeps the best part of the disposable and loses the cardboard. Each guest scans a QR code and their phone becomes a disposable camera, right in the browser, with no app to install. Shots are limited, nobody sees anything before the reveal, and every photo lands at once in a private album, once you are home or on the wedding day itself.

The hen party disposable camera, without the cardboard

Why a shared disposable camera suits a hen or stag do

The same thrill as the cardboard camera, without the drawbacks.
🥂

Everyone gets a camera

With a single disposable, one person usually ends up taking every photo. Here each friend has her own shots, so you finally see the weekend from everyone’s point of view, including the friend who never gets her phone out.

🎞️

Suspense right to the end

No screen to check, no photo retaken ten times. You press the button, move on, and see the result later. That is exactly what makes a disposable so much fun on a hen weekend.

🔒

What happens on the hen do stays private

The album is never public: only people with the link can see it. Before the reveal, the organiser can hide a photo that goes a bit too far. Nothing ends up in the family group chat by accident.

How it works

Three steps, nothing to install

01

Create the event and share the link

In two minutes, name the party, choose how many shots each person gets and set the reveal time. Drop the link in the group chat, or print the QR code poster and stick it up in the rental house.

02

Everyone uses their limited shots

Between 3 and 15 photos each: you decide. The counter drops with every click, which makes people pick their moments. Nobody sees their photos before the reveal.

03

Reveal it back home or at the wedding

Schedule the reveal for the day after you get back so you can relive the weekend together, or save it for the wedding day so the bride sees her hen party with everyone else. Photos can be downloaded and printed.

Hen and bachelor party ideas for photos you will keep

Activities and photo challenges that make an album worth looking at.
  1. The departure portrait

As you set off, everyone snaps the bride-to-be (or groom-to-be) in the outfit of the day: matching T-shirts, a tulle veil, the sash. These first, still spotless photos make a lovely contrast with the ones from the end of the night.

  2. A photo challenge list

Prepare a list of dares to tick off: a photo with a stranger in a hat, a human pyramid, the bride ordering a drink in a made-up language. Because shots are limited, each completed dare earns its photo. Print the list next to the QR poster so everyone can see it.

  3. The main activity

Cocktail masterclass, pottery workshop, karaoke, treetop adventure, wine tasting: the main activity is when everyone reaches for their phone at once. Ask each guest to save a shot for it. At the reveal, you will have the same moment from ten different angles.

  4. Behind the scenes

The best hen party photos are not always the posed ones: the bathroom turned into a dressing room, suitcases spilling over the bed, the morning-after breakfast. These are the pictures you look at most fondly a few months later.

  5. One portrait per bridesmaid or best man

Each bridesmaid, best man or close friend takes a one-to-one portrait with the bride or groom. You end up with a small series to print, perfect for the wedding guest book.

  6. The stag do, disposable style

For a stag or bachelor party it works just as well: paintball, go-karting, a five-a-side match, a barbecue that runs late. Even the friends who never take photos get into it when they only have three shots left.

  7. The last group photo of the night

Agree on a time, just before heading home, for one final photo of the whole group. Everyone takes it at once from their own phone, so you get several versions of the same scene, some sharper than others, all of them funny.

  8. The disposable look in the album

In the album, pick the “Disposable” film: warm colours, contrast, grain and a date stamp in the corner. It is the perfect nod to the cardboard camera, and the look stays on the downloaded photos.

Our tips for hen and stag party photos

How many shots per person? For a one-day hen party, 8 to 10 photos each is plenty: enough to cover the big moments, few enough to make people choose. Over a two-day weekend, go up to 12 or 15. If the group gets through them too fast, you can top up.

When should you reveal? Two options work really well. Revealing the day after you get back (Sunday evening or Monday morning) stretches the weekend out and gets the group chat going again. Revealing on the wedding day creates a special moment for the bride, as long as the wedding is not too far off, because albums are deleted after six months. Either way, the organiser can hide anything before the reveal that should not leave the group.

Which plan should you choose? A hen or stag party usually brings together 8 to 20 people. Up to 5 participants is free. Up to 10 costs €1.99; up to 30 costs €4.99. It is a one-off payment with no subscription, easy to add to the kitty.

Frequently asked questions

Do guests need to install an app for the hen party?

No. Guests scan the QR code or open the link and the camera opens in their phone’s browser, with no account to create. There is an iPhone app for those who prefer it, but it is optional.

Can the bride take photos without seeing everyone else’s?

Yes, that is the whole idea. She takes her shots like everyone else, but nobody sees any photos before the reveal. She discovers the album at the same time as the rest of the group.

Can we remove an embarrassing photo?

Yes. Before the reveal, the organiser (or a co-organiser she has added) can hide a photo so it does not appear in the album. And the album stays private, visible only to people with the link.

A friend is only joining us on Saturday. What does she do?

She scans the QR code when she arrives and gets her own shots. You just need a plan that covers the total number of participants.

Can we get the hen party photos printed?

Yes. After the reveal, every photo can be downloaded, and you can order prints straight from the album. A lovely little gift for the bride before the big day.
